Thanks for checking it out!
Man, I wanted to be the first to reply on this topic. (Yeah, I know its MY OWN topic...)
Anyways, right now I'm playing Shining Force GBA. I have about... 40 or so hours on it. I completed it for the first time just over the weekend so I'm playing thru again with the completed game save.
I just did the first battle, and so far the story line is different in that Mawlock joins you from the very start and is at level 8. I'm going to try and play mainly with/continue discussions with different characters than last time. See what other changes there are. I think there is some stuff that only happens/you can get after you beat the game first.
As far as impressions go, the story line and features are I suppose "enhanced" from the original Genesis Shining Force. The music is the same, but it sounded much better on the Genesis with the nice low end sound chip the Gen has. Kind of tinny on a DS speakers.
Also, its WAY easier than the Genesis version. Genesis Shining Force I recall was pretty brutal in areas, which really added to the game. Except for certain early battles, really... the boss battles, (even with Darksol/Dark Dragon) are too easy. I actually beat the final bosses on my FIRST try!! The Genesis I remember being so brutal, I'd need multiple tries towards the end and have to carefully think how I was gonna do it. I used archers and just shot at the final bosses from three spaces away. They either didn't move, or didn't attack me on every turn. Even the ones that could attack at the same three spaces away. For the bosses basically being a sleepwalk, was really the biggest disappointment.
Still, as a SEGA pigeon, I really like the game and won't be trading it. Even long after I've beaten it a second time.

Fix the Cube. lol jk
Wild Arms for the Ps3/Psp. Great game made portable. Overall not too far in, but I like the series and the gameplay.

Oh man, if I had a PSP I'd be playing Popolocrois too. Looks very stylish. I have the original on Playstation - but unfortunately for me its in Japanese.

Ratchet & Clank: going commando (PS2)
And I’ve been playing Crimson Skies (PC) online it’s cool there are still people who play it after 8 years.
