Now it turns out that one of Microsoft's Xbox 360 demo kiosk units suffers the Red Ring of Death while on display at the Game Developers Conference. Personally, I don't have an Xbox 360 console myself yet, but I'll just say I'll be weary when looking to get one. Especially if used.

I was heavily debating whether to get a 360 or a PS3 and the RRoD played a big part in my deciding on the PS3. I definitely don't regret it, either.

I’m not surprised, there’s nothing softer than a 360.
I’ve got one (my second one actually), my first one I’d have to turn it on and off like 10 times before it would turn on and I’d get a red ring sometimes while turning it on, so I sent it in (after talking to a very knowledgeable Indian who asked me if it was plugged in) so I get a new 360 back and this one doesn’t work right either! I have to turn it on 2-5 times for it to turn on, so now I’m waiting for them to send me my warranty information for my new 360 so I can send it in again.
