Does anyone out there have a  NeoGeo ? I imagine at least a few people here do. I don't myself (so expensive!) but I did end up getting an emulator of it, which isn't something I generally do but there were so many games for it that I want to try. Are there any games you'd recommend? I'm about to try:

Waku Waku 7
Blue's Journey
The Last Blade
Sonic Wings

and a few others. I'm excited!

Sonic Wings (AKA Aero Fighters in USA) is also on Super Nintendo, although it is a harder to find title.  Its pretty hard too, the game is okay in my opinion - the Super Nintendo version is the one I have.

Windjammers is my favorite  NeoGeo game.  I never had a  NeoGeo home system, but I enjoyed playing it on those multi-game  NeoGeo arcade machines.

Any of the snk fighters, fatal fury, king of fighters, samurai showdown.  Also Metal Slug was good.

Unless, you're stuck on having to play on the actual hardware - many of the games put out by  neo geo snk are available on budget compilations released for PS2, PSP and Wii - many just coming out late 2008 and retail for $9.99 each on the PS2.  (that's the version I'd want as I don't yet have a Wii or PSP so haven't checked if the prices are different)  $9.99 new (or some places like GameStop have em at $14.99) is a sweet sweet price for these titles.

Arcade Classics V1 for PS2, Wii and PSP includes:  (and these are the arcade versions!)  Art of Fighting, Baseball Stars 2, Burning Fight, Fatal Fury, KOF 94, King of the Monsters, Last Resort, Magician Lord, Metal Slug, Neo Turf Masters, Samurai Shodown, Sengoku, Shock Troopers, Super Sidekicks 3, Top Hunter, World Heroes.

Fatal Fury Battle Archives Vol. 1 for PS2 includes:  FATAL FURY, FATAL FURY 2, FATAL FURY SPECIAL & FATAL FURY 3.

Fatal Fury Battle Archives Vol. 2 for PS2 includes:  REAL  BOUT FATAL FURY, REAL BOUT FATAL FURY SPECIAL and REAL BOUT FATAL  FURY 2; The Newcomers.

World Heroes Anthology for PS2 includes complete collection of World Heroes games:    WORLD HEROES, WORLD HEROES 2, WORLD HEROES 2 JET, and WORLD HEROES  PERFECT.

Art of Fighting Anthology for PS2 includes complete collection of Art of Fighting games:  Art of Fighting 1, 2, & 3.

Metal Slug Anthology for PS2, Wii and PSP includes:  METAL SLUG 1, METAL SLUG 2, METAL SLUG X, METAL SLUG 3, METAL SLUG 4, METAL SLUG 5, METAL SLUG 6.

The King of Fighters The Orochi Saga for PS2, Wii, and PSP includes:  KOF 94, 95, 96, 97, 98.

Samurai Shodown Anthology for PS2, Wii, and PSP includes the complete collection of Samurai Shodown games:  Samurai Shodown, I, II, III, IV, V, and VI.

All those games are "Great Value" stickered games at a local chain here and I can get for $9.99 each on PS2 which is totally the way to go.  I don't have any of em yet, but I've been talking with friends that do and they say they're pretty sweet.

Having tested a majority of the fighting games for Neo Geo, I can now say that Waku Waku 7 is my favorite fighter, second only to the mighty Soul Calibur for Dreamcast.
