Just got SFIV this morning a played it for a few hours before I was forced into work. Now I'm sitting at work just itching to play some more. I played a few online mataches against my brother but besides that I was strictly playing arcade mode trying to unlock all the characters.

I think this is a great game for both fighter pros and casual gamers just trying to relive the old arcade days. It fluid and the characters are well balanced.

It's got unlockable chaarcters, anime-cutscene for each characters story, and some other things to unlock like icons & titles. From what I understand the Icons are just like Gamerpics. Medals are awarded to you for achieving certian criteria. So far I've only got medals in Online vs, not sure if you can get them in other modes.

There are diffrent types of moves:
- Special moves: like your typical Hadoken
- EX Moves: These are powered up Special Moves (SFIII had these also)
- Super Moves: Everyone has one of these (except Gen & Dan they have 2) Once your Super Gauge at the bottom fills up you can perform these.
- Ultra Move - These puppies have their own bar called a Revenge Gauge. It only fills up when your character takes damage. These are pretty much upgraded Super Moves. They're a little more cinematic and flashier too.

Glad you have this game to talk about.

I knew somebody would talk about the new Street Fighter.

The art style definitely intrigues me. I imagine I will pick it up at one point or another, but I'm not sure how soon that will be.

I always considered myself pretty good at fighters, but I can't win a ranked match for the life of me. I guess I just get so nervous my moves don't come out properly. Think I'll just play matches against my friends and hang up ranked for a while and end the frustration.

Street Fighter made its debut in the arcades in 1987. It was designed by Takashi Nishiyama and Hiroshi Matsumoto. The player took control of lone martial artist Ryu, who competed in a worldwide martial arts tournament, spanning five countries and ten opponents. A second player could join in at any time and take control of Ryu's rival, Ken.
The player could perform three types of punch and kick attacks (which varied in speed and strength) and three special attacks: the Hadouken, Shoryuken and Tatsumaki Senpuukyaku. These were performed by executing special motions with the controls.
