I wasn't planning on buying this game, but after reading so many positive reviews, I finally broke down and did. I'm really glad I made that decision too, as it's an incredibly fun game. I'm not that big on FPS games (they make me nervous!), but this one is brilliant.

Sony's been hyping this game since around the time the PS3 launched, which is a long time. It seems like overkill, and really it is, but fortunately the hype wasn't all that direct or in your face. It was just more of a passive "We have Killzone 2 on its way!" kind of thing. It became kind of a mantra they used to argue the fact that the PS3 has some great titles coming out.

Like I said, I wasn't planning on even purchasing this game. So maybe it's different from my perspective, since I wasn't immersed in the hype as much as other people may have been. But I'm really glad I bought it, if only for the multiplayer alone.
