I just started this game a few days ago and am really enjoying it. It's certainly more dynamic than I thought it would be, as I was sort of predicting it would be a very slow-paced game. So I'm pleasantly surprised, and hope to finish it fairly soon.

I've completed both Evolution and Evolution 2.  If you like the first one, you'll like the second as its more of the same - same quirky characters, one town, one big dungeon with many levels of randomized layouts.  The pacing is pretty quick as I recall there wasn't really that much to the game - it was mostly about going thru the dungeon repeatedly after beating bosses and unlocking new floors, leveling up and collecting treasures.

One tip is to use a rumble pack with the game.  You can use alternatively the VMU screen to find hidden walls, but its more trouble to keep glancing down randomly, so its easier with the rumble pack.
