I dont think I touched mine after a week or two.  I played maybe 6 or 7 hours of Resi 4 Wii Ed and some Wii Bowling with my dad, then it was on the shelf as more of a trophy than game console.  As far as the VC goes, I'll never buy a game from the VC because I do own all those systems and 90% of the games on them, if they would do like msft and sony did, and have some modern updates to them like online co-op or multi, then i'd consider buying them again.

I’m going to buy one once they get down to $100 new.

There aren’t a whole lot of good games for it.
So far there are only about 10 games I want for it, so I can’t justify a purchase.

and the VC is Worthless to me, since I don’t have high speed internet and I like hard copies of games anyway.

The new Animal Crossing for Wii is surprisingly fun. They really need to change up the formula at some point, but for now it's good. The addition of the city, as hyped as it was, is really nothing special.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is fun when you can actually find someone to play it with.

A few other games I enjoyed were:
Trauma Center
Chocobo Dungeon
Zack and Wiki
NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams

At this point I wouldn't really recommend purchasing it. If they make some insane announcements in the near future, then I'd change my mind. But it seems like Nintendo would rather burn the bridge that got them to where they were. In other words, they prefer screwing over their hardcore fans just so they can make fans of the average consumer. The main problem I see with that is most of those people seem to buy the Wii, play Wii Sports and Wii Fit a bit, and shelf the system. There's no real ongoing market there.

I predict the Wii will, at some point, become the least-selling console. Not overall, but in terms of monthly sales.

I just really dislike their attitude of allowing any game to be released on there. Their shovelware ratio is just so high. I'm not saying the PS3 or 360 don't have crap titles, but the Wii just has so many of them. What makes it worse is that a lot of people get sucked in by the cheaper games, until they realize that the games are cheaper for a reason.

That bugs me too. You have to sift through quite a few titles in order to find the enjoyable ones.

Shows the benefit of having some kind of robust online like xbox live and psn, at least on the ps3 and 360 I can try a demo of most the games, and find out what I want to buy before spending any money at all.

Certainly so. Nintendo isn't exactly great with handling online capabilities.
