Now, to be fair, I love both my Xbox and my Xbox 360.  I just have a very strong respect for the original. I'm not an extreme fanboy by any means.  I will admit that Microsoft made some mistakes on the original, but they also brought some new ideas to the console environment.  It wasn't the prettiest or sleekest machine case wise, but it was efficient.  If yours actually died, it made a good door stop.  Dual purpose, you have to appreciate that.

I had a few over the years, but not because they broke down, they just had different purposes.  I had created one to be a Linux web server, another was turned into a media center, and a stock one for playing games. I had to replace the dvd drive on one, and the power supply on the other two.  No big deal, took like 5-10 minutes and parts were easy to come by.

The machine was just very user friendly in a lot of ways.  It started the Xbox Live service, which wasn't what it is today, but really brought the idea of a gaming network with one ID for all games and ease of use.  The built-in hard drive was a great idea so there was no real need for the memory cards, unless you were wanting to move a gamesave to a friends machine.

The games, where as Microsoft didn't get the same love as the Playstation, still had some really good games.  It had the Halo series, Stubbs the Zombie, MechAssault and other games that were some serious system sellers.  I know there is a lot of hate, because it is a Microsoft product, and I understand, but they did a lot of good for the console market and brought some real good ideas.

I love my Xbox too, I don’t like my 360 though I always call it a piece of junk or something like that when referring too it.
There were tons of great games for xbox esp if you didn’t have a gaming PC.

Well, I don't hate the Xbox but its not anything I'm especially into.  That's the reason why I didn't even have in mind enough to make a smiley icon of any of the Xbox logos.  I will though when I get to it to have about all the system logos.  If you know me though, its more because I tend to have the older stuff in mind.

Ha ha. Yeah, I'm used to the love not being universal.  It's definitely a system that requires a certain taste to appreciate. I love the old stuff a lot too, as you know from my interest in the Sega items.

Yeah, I think I may have figured out your hidden smilie on the Xbox one.  Real funny.  I've never had my 360 rrod , and I've owned 4 different ones.  Bought one at launch, sold to buddy to get a premium. Got bored, sold it.  Bought another one, got bored, sold it.  Have one now with the HDMI port.

I couldn't help it, I had to find it.  I also found the Mario one, which is cool.
