I've never met a Working Designs game I didn't like and Elemental Gearbolt makes me kind of sad that this company isn't pumping out niche imports anymore.  I need to grab Growlanser Generations and the shooter games to round out my Working Designs collection.  But I digress...

Elemental Gearbolt is easily one of the finest lightgun titles I've ever played, with a score and atmosphere you'd typically NEVER find in one.  I recently reacquired a copy of the game and while the logic behind having magical guns in a fantasy world never begged questioning in my youth, I wonder if I would question it now.  My biggest problem is that I have to play this game on a CRT in the other room and would prefer to play it with a friend like the good ol' days.  Anyone else have fond memories of this game?

I'll be honest with you, I held onto my two guncons for the sole purpose of playing this game again one day.

Yes, I got this when it launced about a decade ago. I have since sold it, but I do have fond memories of this game. My brother and I would play this a lot. It was such a great idea to combine a shooter game with RPG elements, it made you wonder what other genres could be mixed. I also remember the soundtrack being amazing.

Unfortunatly with many of these older light gun games they can't be play on newer HDTVs. I do have a CRT in my bedroom but the room is tiny and not very comfortable for gaming.

I set up my PS2 in a room with a 27" crt and I played the game there.  It held up relatively well but it would be a blast to play with someone else like I did in the old days.
