Hey, I'm Dan 21 from New Hampshire!

I was lucky enough to be born into the world as a video game freak, and have had the pleasure to play many old systems from Atari, up to the ps3, wii, and 360.

from the time, I could manage to hold a NES controller in my hand and play Mike Tyson's Punch Out, or the Zapper, I think it was to shoot some ducks, in a nice game of duck hunt, I have been into video games, and have had an amazing mother, and father to teach me this, and that about playing video games, though my mom no longer plays the newer systems, as they tend to make her sick (mainly the N64) however my dad and brother tend to LAN quite frequently with Empire Earth I, and Counter Strike.. well used to just waiting for my computer to be fixed up a bit.

Anyway, thanks for the invitation Brian, and I hope to talk to a few of you soon at least!

Welcome aboard! I wasn't raised a gamer but become one early in life on my own. Duck hunt is pretty much the greatest thing ever. Actually played that the other day. Complete AWESOMENESS!

Heck Yes Duck hunt has to be one of the best games!

Think about the year this game, had came out and for them to be able to have the motion censor controller like that, is awesome, although my gaming knowledge might not be all that great  from earlier days that came out with this technology from on video game systems (talking about before, not this gen.)

wasn't this the first as far as home gaming system comes from?

I never was able to understand how this worked so well, especially without a censor bar (thats seen.)

Its nice to hear you guys are so impressed with the light gun (I guess  ) as I got a NES Action Set when it came out (the bundel that includes Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt) and even back then I just considered the game a "novelty".  Its maybe fun for about five minutes...  but then it just repeats over and over again.  Maybe its worth playing once to say you've played it, but then I pretty much never had a reason to play it again.  Even as far as light gun games go (including ones of that era), I really couldn't include Duck Hunt in the discussion of best ever light gun games.  I mean its okay...

As far as being the first.  I was pretty sure Nintendo wasn't the first, as it was 1984 and that's fairly recent, so I looked it up and yes Magnavox Odyssey was the first.  Sega Master System of course also had their Light Phaser which came out around the same time as the Nintendo.

I used to have an Odyssey. That was a fun system until it died on me.  :|

They're probably just about ALL dead now.  Ha ha.

I have over 20 consoles hooked up and played with, and I never yet had an Odyssey.  I guess that makes you cooler than me, huh?      (well honestly, I don't care enough to get one if I had to pay for it)

Mine was given to me, with about 20-30 games. It was fun, albeit not the best thing in the world. I do miss it though.
