Hi,  Just to let people know that Best Deal will be offering one year subs to the following magazines for sale at the following prices for one year on the following days this week:

November 18, 2008 - Game Informer - $4.95 for 1 year
November 21, 2008 - Official Xbox- $4.89 for 1 year
(didn't mention in my weekly email if OXB includes the demo, but going to guess for the price probably not)

Some notes and terms:  (so you don't all go and ask me)

Each price is valid ONLY on the day being listed and expires on Midnight.  Price is for only one year.  The price can be applied to either a new sub or renewing a current sub (just use your same name and address as the current one).  There is no auto-renew.  Yes, I have subscribed from Best Deal many times with their deals and I always got my magazines.

Well...  I don't know for certain the XB mag doesn't come w/ the discs.  You can check it out this Friday (day when Xbox will be on sale) and I'm sure it will say.  Its just my guess for the price that likely it won't.  Still its basically like the cost of one issue (for either) you can get a full sub.

Personally, I won't be buying the Xbox mag with or without the discs since I don't yet have a 360, I never play my orig Xbox and in general it doesn't have that much interest to me.

GI is a maybe.  Its one of the ones I never subbed to.  So Creston, you think its worth getting?  I can actually use my own link provided and get the affiliate commission even if I buy myself.

Oh yes... and I fully forgot to mention this (honest) but here also is a weekly coupon code for 15% off any title (including the sale of the day mags):

             Code: PXSS1123 Offer Expires November 23, 2008

I am waiting for when Nintendo Power will go on sale... as my sub just ran out.  NP hasn't been on sale thru Best Deal since early spring.

It’s my favorite videogame mag, much better than OXM or EGM or any other video game mags I’ve read, it has the most news, and the least fluff.

But consider buying it at Gamestop (or EB) because it’s $14 (if I remember right) and you get 10% off everything used, and 10% more on trades.

For the difference between the $4.95 price and $14 you’d have to spend $90 on used stuff to brake even, anything beyond that would be pure savings.

Thanks for the input.  I subscribe already to EGM.  (For free using that link I gave ya, remember?

With the 15% off coupon code, that makes Game Informer only about $4.21.  I've never had the membership at GameStop just because I never find much I want there.  I buy their new games when on sale - but honestly I almost never buy anything used there because I don't usually find much I want at prices I can't find lower elsewhere.
